Hayley has a love of old, well-crafted, long-lasting furniture which led her to the world of upholstery.
For years, Hayley trawled auctions and acquired gorgeous finds, sometimes giving them a little 'tlc' before finding them new homes. She always felt saddened to see unloved Louis chairs and thread-bear Parker Knolls, knowing they’d probably soon end up in a skip and so she decided to make a change and embarked upon years of upholstery training which she truly loves.
Hayley often hear from customers, “It’s my Nan’s chair, I can’t bear to part with it but it doesn’t go in my room" - and this is where she really loves to use her skills.
CAROL
Carol has been making and fitting tailored covers for over 35 years and has mastered her craft.
She's a London Girl, who lived and worked in the trendy London Kings Road area, before moving to the Brighton area for over 20 years but she is now very happily settled in Suffolk.
During her career she has installed covers for many famous people including Michael Caine, Michael Crawford and Joely Richardson.
Carol still uses her trusted, original Singer sewing machine and admits to loving what she does...in particular, the final fitting when she sees the glee in customers eyes
